CHRMP-Iligan and Lanao del Norte Chapter Celebrates 119th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary

Annually, the Civil Service Commission commemorates the enactment of Public Law No. 5, "An Act for the Establishment and Maintenance of an Efficient and Honest Civil Service in the Philippine Islands".  This year's theme states that, Civil Service at 119: Upholding Integrity and Building a High-Trust Society.

Pursuant thereof, all government officials and employees are encouraged to participate to activities relevant to its commemoration.

Insofar as the Council of Human Resource Management Practitioners-Iligan City and Lanao del Norte Chapter (CHRMP-Iligan and Lanao del Norte), a two-day activity was prepared for the purpose.

During the first day, that was September 12, 2019, an Orientation on the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 was conducted with Director Alona B. Carumba (Dir. Alona) of the Civil Service Commission Field Office-Iligan and Lanao del Norte (CSCFO-Iligan and Lanao del Norte) as the speaker.

All salient features of the IRR was discussed thoroughly by Dir. Alona.  Also, she had the opportunity to show videos of visits to select government agencies by Commissioner Aileen Lourdes A. Lizada as a reminder of the do's and don'ts in being a public servant.

This was followed by a Fellowship Night at The Loft Hotel and Arcade Iligan.  It was all about fashion, dancing and singing.

On the second day, that was September 13, 2019, the First CHRMP Sportsfest was held at Iligan City National High School, Mahayahay, Iligan City.

Basketball, volleyball and badminton were played during the second day.  Agencies under CSCFO-Iligan and Lanao del Norte were divided into four (4) teams which teams competed from the parlor games to the different sports above-mentioned.

Prior to that, all stomped their feet to the tune of modern dance music all for the fun of Zumba which took at most an hour.

In between sports, parlor games were also played by fellow human resource management practitioners.

As to the different sports, select representatives of each agencies showcased their skills and love of sports with their comrades supporting them as cheerers.

Agencies were pre-grouped to enable them to prepare for said activities.

                       

 


Team 1 comprising of CSCFO-Iligan and Lanao del Norte, LGU-Iligan, MSU-IIT and DepEd-Iligan emerged the overall winner of said event.
