AGENCY ASSESSMENT OF PRIME HRM MATURITY LEVEL-CSCFO ILIGAN and LANAO DEL NORTE CHAPTER

If one is an Human Resource Management Officer (HRMO) in the Government Service for not less than three years as of today, Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) is nothing new. It is part and parcel of the various duties of an HRMO.

To be an expert of PRIME-HRM, one must have continuous learning and practice, hence, Civil Service Commission Field Office of Iligan and Lanao del Norte headed by Dir. Alona B. Carumba (Dir. Carumba) regularly conducts meetings, special or not, to address needs corresponding to PRIME-HRM of each agency under her jurisdiction.

Last June 20, 2018 and July 12, 2018, a special and regular meetings, respectively, were held both at the Department of Education - Division of Iligan City, Conference Hall, to focus only on PRIME-HRM.  Despite prior discussions of the topic by Dir. Carumba on several occasions during monthly meetings of the Council of Human Resource Management Practitioners-Iligan and Lanao del Norte Chapter (CHRMPs-Iligan and Lanao del Norte) by inserting said topic in the agenda in addition to training conducted on the same topic, Dir. Carumba begun foregoing meetings by reminding participants of some pertinent topics on PRIME-HRM.

Following the discussion, HRMOs-accompanied by their fellow officemates-begun responding the Assessment tool provided by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).  Three Agencies which had been assessed prior to date, were requested to answer online while remaining agencies were asked to answer online only during the second meeting.

Moreover, a short orientation on how to prepare CS Form No. 9, series of 2017 entitled "Request for Publication of Vacant Positions" was made by Dir. Carumba with the assistance of Mr. Michael Pia.

Meetings ended past five in the afternoon.
